Terms/Rules

Terms/Rules I am a high school student in grade 9-12 I am submitting no more than one film to the High Tide Student Film Festival My film, including closing credits, is 2-3 minutes (180 seconds or less) My film is appropriate for all viewing ages My film is original and wholly made, gives proper credit, and complies with Copyright/Fair Use Laws Each member of my team must complete and sign their own High Tide Student Application, (if under 18, with parent/guardian signature and consent on all the forms) My Team Lead will submit the Materials License Agreement, Photo Release Forms for Film Talent, Proof of Written Permission for Copyright Material (if applicable) and Final Film I understand if my film is selected as a Winner, I will be required to share the awards and prizes equally between all members of my group I understand that if I am notified that I am a Finalist, I will be required to submit a W-9 and Personal Photo Image Release Form to the Aquarium of the Pacific by April 9, 2025 in order to receive my award and my cash prize. I understand that if I am a Finalist, I will be required to attend the High Tide Film Screening and Award Ceremony at the Aquarium of the Pacific on Thursday, May 1, 2025 in order to receive my award and cash prize. I have secured the image appearance/photo release consent from all those people depicted in my film/video I have full parent/guardian consent to participate in this festival and submit a film I give full consent to the Aquarium of the Pacific to show and post this full film and excerpts and distribute it to third parties such as the press

Intellectual Property

By entering the contest, the entrants agree to submit their own original work, do not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others, and complies with all copyright laws and with the terms of the Aquarium’s Student Video and Material Licensing Agreement. Where an entrant has obtained permission to use another’s intellectual property, the entrant agrees to submit written proof of permission with the film entry and any required credits or citations that must be included.

Entrants agree to not hold Aquarium of the Pacific liable for any intellectual property disputes and to comply with these rules and all copyright laws.
